Flight Schedule Interrupted by Wildlife Incident
An Emirates flight heading toward dubai experienced a significant schedule disruption after striking a bird during its arrival. The aircraft required a prolonged hold to address structural concerns, leaving passengers waiting in New Delhi.
The return leg, designated as Flight EK 517, was pushed back by more than 14 hours from its original departure slot. Originally intended to leave Indira Gandhi International Airport at 4:25 pm on Saturday, the service was rescheduled for 7 am local time on Sunday, October 18.
Aircraft Repairs and Passenger Support
Airline representatives confirmed that maintenance teams needed time to conduct necessary repairs on the plane. Visual inspection footage distributed by news agencies revealed visible damage and a large dent located on the nose cone section of the aircraft.
While the airline did not release exact figures regarding the total number of travelers impacted by the disruption, official statements confirmed that hotel accommodations were actively arranged. Management also formally apologized to customers for the unexpected inconvenience.
