Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon Voice Hindi Version of the Obsession Movie

Hindi Dubbing and Streaming Details for the Obsession Movie

Actors Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon have lent their voices to the Hindi version of the Hollywood horror film obsession movie, which is scheduled to premiere on JioHotstar on October 30. The release will feature both the original English version and the Hindi-dubbed option on the platform's Peacock Hub.

Directed by Curry Barker, the project was reportedly produced on a budget of approximately USD 750,000 and achieved substantial global success, bringing in more than USD 500 million worldwide at the box office.

Plot and Character Overview

The story follows Bear, a shy young man portrayed by Michael Johnston, who uses a mysterious object known as the One Wish Willow to make his longtime crush Nikki—played by Inde Navarrette—fall in love with him. However, the wish results in a dark turn when Nikki develops a dangerous fixation on him, initiating a sequence of terrifying occurrences.

For the newly prepared Hindi release, Sanon provides the voice for Nikki, while Dhawan handles the voice acting for Bear. The two actors previously collaborated on the 2022 horror comedy Bhediya.

Actor Reactions to the Project

Both performers noted that the dubbing assignment gave them a fresh lens through which to experience the narrative. Sanon expressed enthusiasm for exploring an edgy character and mentioned that it was her first time voicing another actor's performance.

Dhawan stated that working closely on the Hindi language track allowed him to observe specific details that he might have overlooked during his initial viewing of the project.

Expanding Reach in India

Alok Jain, who serves as the head of the Hindi and English entertainment business at JioStar, explained that the addition of the Hindi version aims to connect the title with a wider audience across India. He pointed out that Dhawan and Sanon possess strong cross-generational appeal and familiarity within the horror genre.
