Aaron Judge Reaches Ten Years of Service Time
New York Yankees standout Aaron Judge has officially reached a significant milestone by notching 10 years of Major League Baseball service time. According to the Major League Baseball Players Association, this is a rare feat achieved by less than 10 percent of players in MLB history.
The milestone prompted the three-time American League MVP to reflect on his journey in the league, which began with his debut on August 13, 2016, against the Tampa Bay Rays at Yankee Stadium when he was 24 years old. Now 34, he recalled the whirlwind events leading up to his first major league game.
Reflecting on Family Support and Personal Milestones
Following this historic achievement, aaron judge shared personal reflections acknowledging the sacrifices made by his family members, his parents, and his wife, Samantha Bracksieck. He emphasized that he never reached his current status alone and expressed gratitude for the constant support in his corner.
Judge and Bracksieck, who met at Linden High School in California, were married in December 2021 in Maui, Hawaii. The family recently expanded with the arrival of their daughter, Nora Rose, in January 2025.
Looking Back at the Road to the Bronx
Recalling the night before his debut while playing Triple-A in Rochester, New York, Judge remembered receiving the unexpected news from his manager at the time, Al Pedrique. Because team travel arrangements could not accommodate his parents immediately, his mother, Patty, took charge of an overnight drive to get them to the destination so he could rest ahead of his career-changing game.
