AC Milan Owner Gerry Cardinale Evaluates Potential Al Nassr Purchase
RedBird Capital Partners is currently assessing a potential acquisition of Al Nassr, as confirmed by managing partner Gerry Cardinale.

Exploring Investment Opportunities in Saudi Arabia
The American investment management firm behind AC Milan is currently reviewing a potential opportunity to acquire Al Nassr. Gerry Cardinale confirmed that discussions have taken place to evaluate the prospect, though he emphasized that the talks remain at a preliminary stage.
Al Nassr is owned by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia and features Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo as team captain. Alongside French club Toulouse FC and Italian giants ac milan, RedBird Capital Partners is continuing to assess the broader possibilities of managing multiple clubs globally.
Future Plans for Cristiano Ronaldo
Under a potential takeover plan spearheaded by the investment firm, reports indicate that the 41-year-old forward could be positioned to become a part-owner of the Saudi club. Cardinale expressed personal interest in meeting the veteran athlete to understand his post-retirement aspirations and his potential ongoing involvement with the team once his contract expires in June 2027.
Meanwhile, the Portuguese star has continued his impressive scoring form on the pitch. He recently secured a hat trick during a Saudi Pro League fixture against Al Kholood, bringing his total career tally to 985 goals and placing him just 15 strikes away from the historic 1,000-goal milestone.
