Milestone Season and Production Shift

As the program gears up for its milestone 25th season, significant changes are underway regarding where it is filmed. The production is shifting away from Los Angeles and relocating to the Atlanta area, with regional auditions taking place in Savannah. Viewers can expect the upcoming milestone season to premiere in 2027.

Over the years, the reality show has helped launch the successful entertainment careers of numerous notable artists. Among its famous alumni are Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson.
