Cristiano Ronaldo Wins Ballon d'Or of All Time Honor
Cristiano Ronaldo's 2008 triumph with Manchester United has been voted the greatest Ballon d'Or win in history, beating Lionel Messi.

Cristiano Ronaldo Claims the B.O.A.T. Title
Fans around the world have chosen cristiano ronaldo as the winner of the newly created Ballon d'Or of All Time award. His 2008 victory officially surpassed competing achievements to be recognized as the greatest individual award triumph in history.
The 2008 Manchester United Campaign
During the 2007–08 season at age 23, the Portuguese winger served as a centerpiece for manager Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United. The club secured both the Premier League and the Champions League titles that year. During the campaign, he scored 31 goals to win the Premier League Golden Boot, added crucial goals in the Champions League, and finished the year with 42 total goals across all competitions alongside the European Golden Boot.
Fan Voting and Competition
Created by the Ballon d'Or organization, the boat ballon d or initiative allowed multi-time winners of the historic trophy to compete against each other. Voting ran from October 1 until October 27, requiring participants to pay a €1 fee to cast their ballot. While not to be confused with the super ballon d'or, the new category let supporters decide the ultimate individual honor. Ronaldo's maiden win edged out rival Lionel Messi's 2012 campaign, which placed second, while Ronaldo's 2017 victory rounded out the podium.
