Dolly Parton Estate Moves to Dismiss Lawsuit Against Nephew Bryan Seaver
The estate of the late country music icon has requested a voluntary dismissal of its legal action against her nephew and former security guard.

Dolly Parton Estate Drops Legal Action
The estate overseeing the professional assets of the late music legend has moved to dismiss its ongoing lawsuit against her nephew. She's Alive LLC filed a notice in a Tennessee state court requesting the voluntary dismissal of the case.
The legal filing specifies that the dismissal is without prejudice, leaving open the possibility that the claims could be brought forward again in the future. Representatives for both sides have not detailed further intentions regarding the matter.
Background on Bryan Seaver and the Dispute
The initial complaint was filed in September by the asset management company, accusing Bryan Seaver of generating a culture of fear and issuing threats following the passing of Dolly Parton in August. Seaver previously served as a security guard for his aunt for roughly two decades and famously announced her death via a social media video statement.
Prior to the latest filing, a judge had granted a temporary restraining order in September after identifying a continuing threat to the asset company. Court documents from October also alleged that Seaver attempted to avoid being served legal papers at his residence.
Response From the Defense
Earlier in the week, Seaver and his company, Squadron Augmented Protection Services, submitted an extensive response denying all allegations of intimidation. The defense argued that private messages referenced in the complaint were taken out of context.
Additionally, Seaver contested claims that he attempted to secure funds through intimidation. He asserted that the estate owed his firm roughly $251,000 for prior security work, a sum that has since been settled.
