Essential Timings And Rituals For Laxmi Puja Muhurat 2026

Understanding Laxmi Puja Muhurat 2026 Timings

The festival of Deepawali is being observed across the country, prompting households to prepare their homes with traditional lamps and intricate rangolis. As evening approaches, families ready themselves to worship Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Ganesha, and Lord Kuber to invite prosperity and well-being into their homes.

According to the traditional panchang, the specific window for laxmi puja muhurat 2026 spans a total duration of 1 hour and 56 minutes during the evening. The designated slot runs from 5:53 PM to 7:49 PM. Additional auspicious blocks include the Pradosh Kaal from 5:30 PM to 8:08 PM, Vrishabh Kaal from 5:53 PM to 7:49 PM, Nishita Kaal running late into the night from 11:38 PM to 12:30 AM, and Singh Lagna from 12:24 AM to 2:41 AM. Furthermore, the Amavasya tithi starts at 11:27 AM and concludes the following day at 12:31 PM.

Diwali Puja Vidhi and Preparations

Executing the proper rituals involves organizing a clean worship area adorned with a red or yellow cloth on a raised platform. Deities including Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi are placed, ensuring that Lord Ganesha sits to the left of the Goddess. The proceedings begin with area purification through water sprinkling while reciting traditional protective mantras, followed by formal sankalp and kalash sthapana.

The ceremonial order starts with the invocation of Lord Ganesha, offering him durva, flowers, sweets, and specific chants. This is followed by honoring Goddess Lakshmi with lotus flowers, red garments, fragrant offerings, and specific devotional recitations. Concluding the rites, devotees also remember Lord Kuber as the guardian of wealth, offering lights and sweets before performing collective family aartis and seeking forgiveness for any unintended errors during the proceedings.
