Emanuel Wilson Leads Backfield Heading Into Week 6
As the Seattle Seahawks prepare to face the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football, fantasy football analysts have released start-or-sit guidance for key players, including running back emmanuel wilson. Wilson enters the upcoming contest following another massive workload that featured 22 touches, culminating in 72 yards from scrimmage, 61 rushing yards, and a touchdown, though he did suffer a fumble during the game.
Backfield Control and Recent Production
Over the previous two weeks, the veteran rusher has assumed full control of the Seahawks backfield, averaging 23 touches per contest, which includes an average of 20.5 carries. This heavy volume has translated into major productivity, positioning him as the overall RB6 thanks to 142 rushing yards, five catches totaling 50 yards, and three total scores.
Furthermore, upcoming opponents the Denver Broncos have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to running backs, according to CBS Sports. Combined with his consistent high volume and recent output, analysts view him as a definite starter for Week 6.
Sam Darnold and George Holani Outlook
While emmanuel wilson is considered an easy choice for starting lineups, quarterback Sam Darnold faces a different projection. Following a standout performance in Week 3, the veteran passer has struggled, failing to exceed 14.3 fantasy points in either of his last two appearances and ranking as the overall QB26 in fantasy points per game. Because of this recent slide, experts recommend sitting Darnold against the Broncos.
Meanwhile, fellow running back George Holani has failed to capture the expected uptick in playing time following Jadarian Price landing on injured reserve. Holani registered just eight touches last week—matching a season-high—for 31 scoreless yards, alongside two fumbles (losing one). With Holani operating clearly behind Wilson, analysts state there is no justification for putting him in starting lineups this week.
