Indian Bank Updates ब्याज दर On Special Fixed Deposit Schemes
Indian Bank has raised the interest rates on two of its special fixed deposit schemes by 15 basis points, offering higher returns to depositors.

Indian Bank Revises Fixed Deposit Returns
Indian Bank has officially raised the ब्याज दर on two of its specialized fixed deposit offerings by 0.15 percentage points, or 15 basis points. This upward revision ensures that account holders depositing funds into these specific plans will receive enhanced returns compared to previous offerings.
The adjustment applies to two designated investment plans managed by the public sector institution. The 555-day 'Ind Grow' deposit scheme now yields an increased rate of 6.80 percent. Meanwhile, the 777-day 'Ind Prosper' deposit scheme provides a revised return of 6.75 percent. These updated figures officially took effect for customers starting October 23, 2026.
Market Standing Among Public Sector Banks
This recent modification positions Indian Bank prominently among public sector institutions regarding deposit profitability. Savers frequently evaluate offerings across public lenders, private organizations, and small finance enterprises to secure maximum yields. Following this adjustment, Indian Bank leads several other nationalized institutions for its specific tenure categories.
For comparison, Bank of India provides up to 6.85 percent on a 999-day deposit, while Bank of Baroda offers 6.75 percent on a 555-day timeframe. Additionally, Punjab National Bank and Canara Bank reach maximum yields of 6.60 percent, placing Indian Bank ahead within the public banking sector for medium-term structured deposits.
Private and Small Finance Bank Offerings
While public sector institutions have adjusted their yields, various private entities and small finance institutions continue to provide alternative structures. Private lenders such as IDFC First Bank and Bandhan Bank offer different return percentages across varying timeframes. Similarly, specialized small finance entities like Suryoday, Jana, and Utkarsh Small Finance Bank maintain distinct maximum yields, often tied to longer investment commitments.
Depositors analyzing current market trends can observe that while small finance banks frequently deliver higher overall maximum percentages—such as Suryoday Small Finance Bank providing 8.25 percent for a five-year duration—public sector options like Indian Bank achieve competitive returns over shorter periods, such as 555 days.
