Streaming Release and Major Edits

Nani's Telugu action drama The Paradise has arrived on an OTT platform in a revised version that is approximately 24 minutes shorter than its original cinematic release. Tied closely to online discussions under search queries like dhoomakethu, the streaming version of the film became available on October 22 in multiple languages including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.

The streaming cut on Netflix runs for roughly two hours and 30 minutes, whereas the theatrical version spanned two hours and 54 minutes. The most prominent modification in this release is the removal of a dance sequence featuring actress Sonali Kulkarni. During the theatrical run, this specific number was placed within a fight scene, sparking heavy online debate and turning into a meme as viewers questioned its inclusion.

Changes and Updates in the OTT Cut

Aside from the shortened runtime and the removal of the dance sequence, the streaming version features adjustments to improve overall viewer experience. Reports indicate that certain shots received visual effects enhancements following prior criticism. Additionally, the end credits were slowed down to make them easier to read compared to the fast pace on the big screen.

Before the streaming debut, Netflix India posted a cryptic message on X hinting at the modifications, stating that the project was under construction and revolution, which amplified curiosity among fans regarding what would be altered.

Theatrical Reception and Actor Response

During its time in cinemas, the film faced mixed to negative reactions. While audiences acknowledged its scale and action choreography, many felt the second half was overly long and the violence excessive. Some viewers noted that extended action sequences hindered the narrative momentum.

Reflecting on the critical feedback, lead actor Nani mentioned in an interview that he values honest opinions from individuals close to him who provide unfiltered critiques. Directed by Srikanth Odela and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under SLV Cinemas, the project also features performances by Kayadu Lohar, Mohan Babu, Raghav Juyal, and Priyadarshi. While it achieved a notable opening day collection during its theatrical run, the early box office momentum tapered off over subsequent days.
