New Rules For फास्टैग Annual Passes Introduced With Lower Rates
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has revised annual pass regulations for local residents near toll plazas, lowering costs to 1500 and 3000 rupees.

Overview of Revised टोल प्लाजा New Rules
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has updated regulations concerning annual passes for individuals residing within a twenty-kilometer radius of highway toll plazas. Under these modifications, frequent commuters can utilize a more affordable annual concessional pass system for the electronic toll collection framework.
The newly structured pricing provides significant savings compared to previous monthly options which accumulated to higher yearly expenses. To qualify for these updated rates, automobiles must be registered strictly for personal use and possess an active फास्टैग device.
Understanding the 1500 and 3000 Rupee Structures
The revised annual fees are categorized based on the geographical positioning of the specific toll gate relative to local administrative boundaries:
- 1500 Rupees Annually: This reduced fee is applicable if the toll facility is situated outside the limits of a local municipality or town area.
- 3000 Rupees Annually: This fee applies when the toll collection point is located directly within the boundaries of a local municipal body or urban zone.
Ministry officials noted that these annual pass rates will undergo official revisions on the first of April every year.
Key Conditions and Exclusions for Concessions
Access to these discounted yearly rates comes with specific operational limitations. The concessional pass is exclusively valid for the specific toll plaza for which it has been officially issued, meaning motorists cannot use a single pass across multiple different gates.
Additionally, the facility does not extend to national highways or expressways that utilize a closed-user fee system for toll collection. Furthermore, if residents have access to an alternative route or a designated service road, they forfeit their eligibility for this financial relief, making the absence of an alternative path a primary prerequisite.
