Police Investigation Continues Into Missing School Girl Case in செஞ்சி

Search Operations Expand in செஞ்சி

The search for a second-grade student who vanished from her home has entered its sixteenth day, leaving local law enforcement scrambling for breakthroughs. The disappearance of the young girl in Alampoondi village near செஞ்சி has triggered extensive multi-agency efforts across Tamil Nadu.

Initially handled by local units, the investigation was escalated after multiple special teams involving hundreds of personnel were deployed. Authorities utilized drones, sniffer dogs, and fishermen to comb local water bodies and wells, though these searches yielded no trace of the child.

Involvement of CBCID and Political Pressure

As public concern grew and political parties staged demonstrations demanding swift action, the case was officially transferred to the CBCID unit by the state police leadership. Senior officials swiftly took over the inquiry, re-interviewing witnesses and previously questioned individuals.

Investigators brought in a historically listed offender for questioning at the local school and cremation ground areas, but this inquiry also concluded without uncovering useful information. Additional CBCID officers from multiple districts have since joined the operation to assist with the ongoing probe.

Current Status of the Missing சிறுமி Inquiry

Despite distributing descriptive missing person posters and sharing photographs with neighboring regional authorities in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka, investigators report that the search remains at a standstill.

Family members continue to hold out hope while law enforcement agencies reiterate calls for public assistance, keeping dedicated contact numbers active for anyone possessing credible information regarding the whereabouts of the missing சிறுமி.
