Pragyaraj Authorities to Conduct Door-to-Door Survey for आवास योजना
Local authorities in Prayagraj are launching a door-to-door verification process to ensure eligible families receive benefits under the urban housing scheme.

Authorities in Prayagraj are implementing a comprehensive door-to-door verification initiative to guarantee that the intended beneficiaries receive support under the urban housing scheme. The local agency, DUDA, has outlined a three-tier evaluation process to identify new recipients and recheck the qualifications of previous registrants seeking an आवास.
Three-Stage Verification Process for Applicants
The administrative vetting procedure is divided into distinct phases to manage the high volume of interest. Officials noted that roughly 82,000 people across the district have submitted online applications for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). Among these, approximately 22,000 beneficiaries have already been selected, with the first installment for construction already transferred to the bank accounts of about 9,000 recipients. Furthermore, assessment reports for 15,000 individuals have previously been forwarded to the administration.
Phase Breakdown and Data Correction
Project Officer Pratibha Srivastava explained that the field assessment will systematically cover different groups of residents:
- First Stage: Targets applicants who completed online submissions without listing a valid mobile contact.
- Second Stage: Focuses on reviewing applicants who do not currently own personal land for construction.
- Third Stage: Identifies impoverished households that have not yet applied for assistance.
Additionally, field workers are actively fixing errors found in initial registry files, including more than 400 cases where applicants registered incorrect phone numbers. This physical verification drive aims to ensure that no eligible poor family is left out of the ongoing housing distribution framework.
