Actor ranveer singh is scheduled to step back in front of the cameras on October 27 for a brief two-week filming schedule in Mumbai. The production marks his ongoing work on the zombie thriller Pralay, following a temporary pause he took ahead of the birth of his second daughter with Deepika Padukone on September 19.

Production Shifts and Dystopian Setting

Directed by Jai Mehta, the movie initially went on floors in Mumbai during August. The project places ranveer singh in his first venture within the zombie thriller genre, utilizing real locations around Mumbai to construct a post-apocalyptic, dystopian atmosphere. While producers previously considered an Australia schedule, plans were realigned to keep production close to home.

Rugged Look and Co-Stars

Although exact plot details remain under wraps, promotional glimpses from September revealed the actor sporting a rugged aesthetic featuring longer hair and a stubble. The film also features Kalyani Priyadarshan, who marks her Hindi cinema debut. Pralay is supported by a collaboration of production houses including Birla Studios, True Story Films, and Maa Kasam Films.

Prior Work and Future Timelines

Prior to his paternity break, ranveer singh appeared on the big screen in Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge. Following the upcoming stint in Mumbai, further shooting dates and the official release timeline for Pralay have not yet been finalised.
