Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Teased on Video
Royal Enfield has released a social media video teaser showcasing the silhouette of the new royal enfield himalayan 750 against a scarlet sky. The teaser includes coordinates pointing to central Milan, strongly indicating that the brand's first parallel-twin adventure tourer will make its official debut at the upcoming EICMA exhibition.
As the first model in the Himalayan lineup to utilize a parallel-twin engine and the first built on a new 750cc platform, this motorcycle marks a notable milestone for the manufacturer. While exact details remain unconfirmed until the formal unveiling, a substantial amount of information regarding its technical specifications has emerged.
Engine and Performance Capabilities
The himalayan 750 will be powered by a new 750cc oil-cooled parallel-twin engine. Projected output is estimated between 55 and 60bhp, with torque figures hovering around 65Nm. The motor retains a 270-degree firing order and connects to a six-speed manual gearbox featuring a slip-and-assist clutch.
Chassis, Suspension, and Brakes
Positioned as a road-biased tourer with a lesser off-road focus than the Himalayan 450, the new model is expected to feature a 19/17-inch front and rear wheel setup, offering alloy or spoked wheels depending on the chosen variant. Suspension duties are handled by adjustable Showa upside-down front forks and a linked rear monoshock equipped with a remote preload adjuster. Additionally, it introduces twin disc brakes at the front with ByBre callipers, a first for the manufacturer.
Technology and Electronics
Rider convenience features include factory-equipped cruise control, a tyre-pressure monitoring system, and a ride-by-wire throttle that enables traction control and multiple ride modes. The machine also utilizes the 4-inch circular full-colour TFT display seen on other recent models, complete with Bluetooth connectivity, Google Maps mirroring, and an adjacent Type-C USB charging port.
Launch and Pricing Expectations
Following its expected appearance at EICMA between November 3 and 6, an Indian launch may take place later in the month during the MotorFest event scheduled from November 24 to 26. The motorcycle will be available in at least four color choices, with expected ex-showroom pricing ranging from Rs. 4.50 to 5.00 lakh.
