Armed Police Inspector Asked for Explanation Regarding Long Absence
The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a public notice requiring an absent armed police inspector to submit an explanation within seven days.

Ministry Seeks Explanation From Absent Inspector
The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a public notice requiring Armed Police Inspector Sachin Pradhan to submit a formal explanation within seven days. The government body is seeking a satisfactory answer regarding why he should not face removal from service following a lengthy unauthorized absence from work.
Background on the Leave and Absence
According to official details, Inspector Pradhan was previously assigned to the Number 38 Reserve Battalion Headquarters Lakhanpur, Jhapa, within the Armed Police Force, Nepal. His permanent address is located in Ward No. 1 of Myanglung Municipality, Tehrathum District. He had been authorized to take study leave spanning from October 1, 2080 BS through May 17, 2083 BS.
Although expected to resume his office duties on May 18, 2083 BS, he reportedly failed to report back, notify anyone, or secure formal approval for any extension. Consequently, authorities determined he violated Section 113 (1) (ja) of Chapter 13 under the Armed Police Regulations, 2072 BS.
Potential Disciplinary Actions
Based on a secretary-level decision made by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the official notice instructs the inspector to deliver his clarification within seven days of publication, excluding standard travel time, as outlined in Section 121 (1) of the regulations. Departmental action is proposed under Section 110 (kha) (1), which seeks to remove him from service without affecting his eligibility for future government employment.
Officials confirmed that if a satisfactory response fails to arrive within the designated timeframe following the notice publication, formal proceedings to remove him from his position will move forward.
