Arnab Cyclone Update: Disaster Teams Deployed as Storm Approaches Coast

Latest Arnab Cyclone Update and Emergency Preparations

As part of the ongoing arnab cyclone update, authorities have mobilized multiple rescue teams and heightened security along coastal regions. Four states remain on alert as the storm closes in on the coast.

Official reports confirm that response units are actively coordinating relief measures. Citizens have been strongly urged to stay away from vulnerable waterfront areas while emergency protocols take effect.

Disaster Response Force Deployments

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has stationed seven teams in Andhra Pradesh and two in Yanam to handle upcoming rescue operations, according to NDRF 10th Battalion Commandant V.V.N. Prasanna Kumar. An additional five teams remain in reserve for rapid deployment if conditions worsen. Furthermore, a standby unit has been stationed at the Regional Response Centre in Visakhapatnam, while the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has positioned eight teams across various locations to assist over a three-day period.

Coastal Safety and Closures

Officials have implemented strict safety measures along the shoreline. All beaches throughout the state are currently shut down, and the public has received warnings to avoid seashores and river bunds, specifically cautioning against taking selfies near dangerous waters. Marine Police are on high alert, and coastal patrolling has been significantly intensified.

Educational Closures and Future Outlook

In anticipation of heavy rainfall forecast by meteorological monitoring, the Education Department announced mandatory closures for schools and colleges on October 27 and 28. Eluru District Collector K. Vetriselvi confirmed that all local schools and Anganwadi centres are shut, while similar closures apply to educational facilities across Krishna and NTR districts. Authorities continue to monitor weather patterns closely as relief preparations progress.
