Banana Ball 2027 Schedule Expands Internationally
The growing league has officially unveiled the banana ball 2027 schedule, bringing the sport beyond domestic borders for the first time. The upcoming championship tour will feature matches across 79 stadiums in 74 cities, incorporating international stops in Mexico and Canada.
According to league creator and owner Jesse Cole, continuous growth in ticket demand and interest from multiple countries prompted the expansion. Four teams will travel abroad to play games in Monterrey and Tijuana in Mexico, as well as Winnipeg and Toronto in Canada.
Venues and Major Stadium Stops
In addition to international fixtures, the 2027 calendar includes conventional stops at 23 Major League Baseball stadiums and 10 football venues. Notable locations on the tour feature the Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa, and Cooperstown, New York, where the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will unveil a dedicated exhibit for all six league teams.
Larger venues are also integrated into the lineup to accommodate massive ticket waitlists that have reached millions of fans. High-capacity locations include LSU's Tiger Stadium and the Tennessee Titans' New Nissan Stadium, which is slated to host the Banana Bowl championship on September 25. Meanwhile, the Coconuts are scheduled to play in Hawaii at a 4,000-seat venue.
Introduction of Banana Ball 360
Alongside the schedule release, league organizers announced a brand-new on-field innovation called Banana Ball 360. Set to debut at Notre Dame Stadium on June 26, this format places two playing fields on opposite corners of a football stadium for a single game. Participating teams will switch fields between innings to give spectators in large venues a closer view of home plate action.
Off-Field Events and Future Plans
Off-the-field updates include a partnered documentary with Disney detailing the rise of the league over the past decade. The film features original music by Pasek and Paul, with a world premiere scheduled at Truist Park in Atlanta on June 12. Additionally, the Banana Ball Open will return to the ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando from April 15 to 18, 2027.
