Introduction to the BMW F 450 RR
BMW Motorrad has officially introduced the new bmw f450 rr, marking the addition of a standalone supersport bike to its vehicle family. Developed specifically for the 48-hp class, the machine aims to deliver signature riding pleasure through rigorous weight optimization and precision chassis engineering.
Company leadership notes that the motorcycle bridges the gap between winding country roads and the racetrack. Its styling draws clear inspiration from the current design language of the S 1000 RR.
Engine Performance and Efficiency
At the center of the bmw f450 rr sits a newly developed fuel-injected parallel-twin engine featuring a 135-degree crankpin offset. Displacing exactly 420 cc, the unit produces an output of 35 kW (48 hp) at 8,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 43 Nm at 6,750 rpm.
The power plant is designed to be highly efficient, consuming 3.8 liters per 100 km. Paired with a 14-liter fuel tank, the bike achieves a total driving range exceeding 350 km. Standard service intervals are set at every 10,000 km.
Chassis, Transmission, and Electronics
The technical foundation builds upon a tubular steel space frame integrated with the parallel-twin engine as a load-bearing element. Front suspension is handled by a 43 mm KYB upside-down telescopic fork, while the rear utilizes an aluminum hollow-cast double-sided swingarm.
Standard electronic features include Rain, Road, and Race riding modes, alongside ABS Pro, Dynamic Brake Control, Dynamic Traction Control, and engine drag torque control. Additionally, an optional Easy Ride Clutch and Shift Assistant Pro allow for quick shifting without manual clutch operation on most variants.
