FBI Raids Beverly Hills Mansion Tied to Eric Swalwell Probe
Federal agents executed a search warrant at a Beverly Hills property linked to a civil rights investigation surrounding former congressman Eric Swalwell.

Federal Agents Execute Search Warrant
The FBI carried out a search at a property located on North Roxbury Drive in Beverly Hills on Tuesday morning. Sources confirmed that the location is tied to an ongoing federal inquiry centered on former congressman eric swalwell.
An FBI spokesperson stated that agents were executing a search warrant, noting that court documents remain sealed and no arrests were scheduled. The residence belongs to billionaire Stephen Cloobeck, a prominent figure in Democratic politics and a former candidate for California governor.
Connections to Stephen Cloobeck
During his previous gubernatorial campaign, swalwell stayed at the Beverly Hills estate multiple times and utilized the venue for political gatherings. According to sources, the former lawmaker was asked to leave the property in April after public allegations surfaced accusing him of sexual assaulting a former staffer and behaving inappropriately toward other young women. Swalwell has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
Cloobeck, 64, built his fortune in the timeshare industry before selling Diamond Resorts for $2.2 billion and later launching an unsuccessful bid for state governor where he polled below one percent. He subsequently endorsed Swalwell's campaign.
Broader Federal Inquiries
The recent search follows a series of investigative steps taken by federal authorities over the summer. In August, agents seized electronic devices—including a white iPhone and a MacBook Pro—and raided a Washington home belonging to the former representative. Officials also briefly detained him at San Francisco International Airport for search purposes before releasing him on the same day.
Investigators are pursuing the case under civil rights statutes, examining whether official government authority was used to willfully deprive individuals of their constitutional rights. Separate investigations are also being handled by authorities in Los Angeles County and New York.
