Halle Berry Refutes Abuse Claims Stemming from Photo Taken by Son

Halle Berry Addresses Custody Drama and Abuse Allegations

Halle Berry has officially refuted claims made by her ex-husband, Olivier Martinez, asserting that a photograph captured by their 13-year-old child does not support allegations of physical abuse. The legal filings follow a custody dispute centering around an alleged incident on September 26.

In court documents filed on October 1, Martinez sought sole custody of their son, Maceo, claiming that Berry physically abused the boy during the late-September incident alongside other alleged past occurrences. Berry has denied these claims entirely, stating in her defense that she is a victim of domestic violence herself.

The Dispute Over the Son's Photo

In a subsequent filing on October 12, Martinez submitted a picture of Berry, claiming it was taken by halle berry son, Maceo, immediately after the incident because he had allegedly been roughed up previously without being believed. However, Berry's responsive declaration filed on October 13 argued that the image fails to corroborate any allegations of strangulation or injury.

According to Berry's legal response, the picture simply shows her standing calmly with her hands in her pockets a short distance away from Maceo. Furthermore, the filing noted that the image does not depict any marks, redness, or bruising on the boy's neck.

Controversy Over Testimony and Witness Statements

Martinez also requested that their son be permitted to testify in court during upcoming hearings so that the child could share his version of events regarding custody preferences and the September incident. Martinez argued that preventing the child from speaking might dissuade him from reporting future problems.

In contrast, Berry objected to the testimony request, claiming that Martinez had coached and manipulated the child. Additionally, Berry addressed claims regarding her fiancé, Van Hunt, clarifying that Hunt simply observed no redness or bruising on Maceo rather than conducting a formal physical inspection. Legal representatives for Martinez vehemently denied the manipulation allegations, maintaining that the child is the primary victim and should be allowed to speak in court.
