John Stamos Accepts the Bob Saget Legacy Award
Actor john stamos was recently honored with the Bob Saget Legacy Award at the Scleroderma Research Foundation's Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine fundraising event. The recognition highlights individuals who carry on the late comedian's dedication to raising awareness and funds for the autoimmune illness.
Speaking about the accolade prior to the event, Stamos expressed mixed emotions, noting how much he misses his former co-star while appreciating the importance of continuing his legacy.
Cast Gather for a Full House Reunion
The fundraising occasion brought together members of the famous sitcom family, featuring a reunion with Candace Cameron Bure and support from other familiar faces. Although Dave Coulier could not be physically present due to being in Michigan, he sent a pre-taped video message to celebrate the honor, sharing lighthearted remarks and offering his congratulations to his longtime friend.
A Bond Forged Through Hardship
The close friendship among Stamos, Saget, and Coulier evolved significantly over the years. Reflecting on their time together on the ABC family sitcom Full House and its later reboot Fuller House, Stamos shared that their initial distraction with on-set antics shifted during the show's third season.
Following personal family health struggles involving their sisters, the three actors found themselves united through shared grief rather than just working together on television. That connection cemented a lifelong bond of support through the ups and downs of life until Saget's passing in January 2022.
