Major Changes in the ICC Men Player Rankings Update
Marco Jansen has climbed to the number one position for Test bowlers and all-rounders, while Abhishek Sharma has taken back the leading rank for T20I batters. These modifications arrive during a significant week of shifts across international cricket standings.
Jansen achieved his dual top billings following a strong display for South Africa during their victory against Australia in Gqeberha, where he contributed 85 runs with the bat alongside a five-wicket match-turning haul in the first innings.
Abhishek Sharma Claims T20 Century and Top Spot
The return of Abhishek to the summit of the T20I batting list followed a quickfire performance during the third fixture against New Zealand in Wellington. Exhibiting strong form, the left-hander registered an abhishek sharma t20 century by reaching the milestone in 35 deliveries, finishing with 113 runs from 38 balls to help India secure a six-wicket series victory. This performance allowed him to displace teammate Ishan Kishan at the head of the list.
Additional movement occurred across the other formats as well. South Africa captain Temba Bavuma advanced four positions to second overall among Test batters following a 179-run innings against Australia, leaving England captain Harry Brook as the sole player ahead of him. In the ODI lists, players such as Ben Duckett, Shaheen Afridi, Azmatullah Omarzai, Bernard Scholtz, and Mohammad Nabi all made ground inside the top ten.
