Police Station Hosts Farewell and Valakappu Ceremony for Officer
Colleagues at a local police station organized a traditional baby shower and farewell event for a pregnant civil police officer before her transfer.

Heartwarming Farewell at the Police Station
Staff members at a local പോലീസ് station recently arranged a traditional pregnancy blessing ceremony and farewell for their pregnant colleague. Civil police officer Aswathy, who served at the Poochakkal location for two and a half years, received a warm tribute from her fellow officers.
Reaching her seventh month of pregnancy, the officer was welcomed into the gathering by women officials. In keeping with the traditional custom known as valakappu, she received seven varieties of bangles, seven types of sweets, and brand new clothing.
Transfer and Work Arrangements
Due to the commuting challenges involved in traveling to the Poochakkal facility, the department granted permission for Aswathy to transition her duties to the Cherthala station beginning Wednesday. She will continue handling her responsibilities from Cherthala until the start of her maternity leave, after which she will return to her original station following her break.
Aswathy is married to Anoop, an Air Force personnel residing at Vayalar Mannel House.
Promoting a Stress-Free Work Environment
Colleagues across the unit frequently organize birthday gatherings for staff members, capturing the moments through reels typically handled by CPOs Jubin C. Mathew and Nikhil Shenoy. Public Relations Officer and counselor P.L. Shunais explained that these workplace initiatives aim to lower mental stress and cultivate a healthy atmosphere among staff.
