रेलगाड़ी Services Affected in Mumbai Due to Overhead Wire Issue
Technical issues involving overhead equipment disrupted suburban train services in Mumbai on Monday morning, causing heavy delays and commuter frustration.

Technical Glitch Halts Mumbai रेलगाड़ी Services
Commuters heading to their workplaces faced significant inconvenience on Monday morning after technical problems disrupted local suburban transit networks. A loose external wire dangling from the overhead equipment between Mulund and Thane railway stations affected the operations of numerous services on the central route.
According to updates shared by Central Railway officials, the dangling wire was spotted at 9:23 AM along the down slow line, approximately 31.146 kilometers away from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. Authorities enforced slower train speeds as a precautionary safety measure, which resulted in suburban services running 15 to 20 minutes behind schedule.
Repair Work and Platform Crowding
To safely resolve the issue, the railway administration implemented an overhead equipment block at 10:00 AM, allowing technical teams to initiate essential maintenance work. Because the disruption happened during peak commuting hours, large crowds accumulated on railway platforms and inside overcrowded compartments as passengers waited to reach their offices.
Many affected travelers shared complaints regarding the delayed schedules across social media platforms. The affected central line is a critical transit corridor connecting south Mumbai's terminus to Kalyan Junction, branching further toward Kasara and Khopoli to serve millions of daily commuters.
Restoration of Normal Operations
Following the completion of the necessary repairs on the overhead equipment, officials confirmed that train operations are being gradually restored to normalcy. Transit authorities continue to monitor the network to ensure stable movement across all impacted lines.
