Hero MotoCorp Unveils the New Xpulse 450 With Advanced Features

Introduction to the Flagship Adventure Motorcycle

Hero MotoCorp has officially taken the wraps off the highly anticipated xpulse 450, expanding its dual-sport lineup with a much larger and more powerful machine. Designed with direct inputs from the Hero MotoSports team, this flagship motorcycle has been in development since 2020, previously appearing as rolling chassis prototypes and concept sketches at past editions of EICMA.

Engine Performance and Specifications

At the heart of the new xpulse 450 sits a brand-new 421cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This powerplant generates 46.7hp at 9,100rpm and 38Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the setup includes a slip-and-assist clutch offered as standard equipment. This positioning places the flagship model significantly above the existing Xpulse 210 in terms of power output and torque delivery.

Suspension and Off-Road Capability

For handling rough terrains, the vehicle relies on a long-travel, adjustable front suspension powered by KYB. The 43mm cartridge-type USD fork provides 225mm of travel alongside 22-step adjustability for compression and rebound. Off-road readiness is further highlighted by tubeless spoke wheels wrapped in what appear to be a 19-inch front tire and a 17-inch rear tire.

Connectivity and Global Launch Plans

A notable highlight of the model is its segment-first built-in Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality, accessed through what appears to be a 7-inch TFT display. While a full specification list remains unconfirmed, Hero MotoCorp has indicated that the dual-sport machine will roll out to global markets first. Official pricing and a precise launch timeline have not yet been disclosed by the manufacturer.
