SoFi Reports Record Third Quarter Revenue and Member Growth
SoFi Technologies posted record financial figures for the third quarter of 2026, driving optimism surrounding sofi stock as the digital finance platform lifted its full-year outlook. The company recorded GAAP net revenue of $1.385 billion, representing a 44% increase compared to the same period a year earlier, alongside net income totaling $241 million.
During the recent earnings call, Chief Executive Officer Anthony Noto highlighted that lending remained robust and credit performance stayed very solid. Management pointed to expanding member engagement and stronger product adoption as core drivers behind the performance.
Strong Momentum in Member Acquisition and Products
SoFi finished September with 17.1 million total members, marking a 35% surge year over year. Total products utilized by these customers expanded by 44% to reach 26.7 million. According to company disclosures, more than half of the newly opened products during the quarter came from existing customers choosing to deepen their relationship with the platform.
Loan originations also experienced substantial growth across multiple categories. Personal loan originations reached a record $12.6 billion, student loan originations rose 96% to $2.9 billion, and home loan originations increased by 44% to $1.4 billion. Meanwhile, Financial Services revenue climbed 25% to $525.1 million.
Navigating Interest Rates and Future Outlook
The latest sofi stock updates reveal that the enterprise achieved these milestones despite unexpected macroeconomic shifts. Executives noted that the business initially anticipated two interest rate reductions in 2026, but instead faced a rate hike and expectations of further increases. Despite this shift, Noto expressed full confidence in the firm's capacity to maintain growth in a high-rate climate.
Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, SoFi anticipates adjusted net revenue of roughly $1.375 billion. For the full year, updated guidance projects $5.04 billion in adjusted net revenue and $1.66 billion in adjusted EBITDA. Additionally, management provided a preliminary outlook for 2027, estimating $6.4 billion in adjusted net revenue and $2.24 billion in adjusted EBITDA, which the company plans to fund entirely through existing capital and ongoing earnings.
