West Bengal Updates Details on প্রধানমন্ত্রী কিষান সম্মান নিধি যোজনা Payments

Overview of প্রধানমন্ত্রী কিষান সম্মান নিধি যোজনা Implementation

The West Bengal state administration has transitioned its previous agricultural support framework into a revised structure. Under this updated initiative, officially referred to as মুখ্যমন্ত্রী কিষাণ সম্মান নিধি and widely tracked as প্রধানমন্ত্রী কিষান সম্মান নিধি যোজনা, registered farming households stand to receive yearly monetary backing. State authorities announced that disbursements will head directly to beneficiary bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) across two installments.

Upcoming disbursements are slated for November 5, where roughly 48 lakh cultivators originating from Pursurah in Hooghly will receive direct funds. Furthermore, individuals already enrolled in central administration schemes like PM-KISAN are slated to secure an additional yearly bonus of 3,000 rupees from state resources.

Eligibility Criteria and Tiered Financial Assistance

Support limits under the program correlate directly with the scale of cultivable land owned by a household. Permanent residents possessing valid agricultural holdings qualify under specific ownership boundaries:

  • 40 satak or more: Eligible for an annual disbursement of 6,000 rupees.
  • Less than 40 satak: Eligible for an annual disbursement of 4,000 rupees.

Only one individual per farming household may claim these allocations. Eligible recipients include primary landowners, recorded bargadars, patta-holding farmers, and registered sharecroppers as reflected in official land documentation.

Exclusions and Ineligible Categories

According to official state notifications released on October 29, specific groups remain barred from claiming benefits under প্রধানমন্ত্রী কিষান সম্মান নিধি যোজনা. Applicants must verify that they do not fall under any restricted classifications:

  • Institutional landowners whose property titles belong to corporate bodies or organizations.
  • High-income professionals such as registered doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants, and architects.
  • Individuals who pay income tax.
  • Pension recipients and non-resident Indians (NRIs).
  • Constitutional officeholders and regular government employees, excluding Group D or MTS staff.
  • Persons unable to present valid Aadhaar verification details or those categorized as deceased, relocated, or absent voters during recent electoral roll verification exercises.

Application Guidelines for Beneficiaries

Individuals who previously received support through the older Krishak Bandhu framework are not required to submit fresh applications. Their inclusion occurs automatically following successful verification of land and banking records. Conversely, new applicants must complete designated paperwork and submit required documentation directly to the office of the Assistant Director of Agriculture within their respective blocks. Authorities emphasize that verifying land records, Aadhaar numbers, voter identification, and banking details remains essential prior to filing any claims.
